It was a dream of mine to launch such a blog only to get all of your views. And finally I did it. Star Voice Of India & Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa are two great musical shows of two different channels. And both these show successfully produced some talented singers like Toshi, Raja, Irfan, Amanat, Sumitra, Mauli and many. I always liked to compare the contestants, the judges, the hosts and the qualities between these two show. No doubt that Toshi & Raja were the two best contestants of these two show. Personally they both are my favorites. But if someone requests me to decide the best among these two believe me I have a choice which I don't want to disclose right now. Better you all decide who is best and why. Neither Toshi nor Raja is my favorites. But relatively I guess Toshi is better.
Aneek/Amanat are the best out of both programs.
Ishmeet was undoubtedly the best. Why conduct a poll reagrding this. Ishmeet simply outclassed the other singers.Boss please remove this word verification, it is very irritating.

Antar, what is this man, Toshi votes are increasing automatically, when u vote for Ishmeet. Please be fair otherwise there is no use conducting such a poll. The whole exercise is futile.
I think d best from each show at least acc 2 me are--
1.saregama 2007--ANEEK among guyz and POONAm among girls
2.SVOI 2007-- ABHAS among boys and ABHILASHA/ARSHPREET among girls.

You hv still not corrected the fault in your polling meter. Toshi's votes increase automatically when you vote. Or is it that you hv already decided to make Toshi the winner.

There is no prob in the polling meter. As u can see now that Ishmeet's votes are higher than Toshi's. Also wanna tell you that, once at SVOI.com blog you clearly mentioned that after Ishmeet, Toshi was the best of SVOI. But now I found that you listed him no. 10 at your SVOI fav list. I am really surprised man.

i did read an intw , where gaj was asked y he eliminated talented ppl like toshi, abhas,irfan, so he said they r talented,ppl ahve already noticed them,its ppl like harshit and ishmeet who need all our help to make ppl notice...

Now your polling meter is working fine. But earlier when i voted twice, Toshi's votes were increasing automatically. I request you to delete atleast 3 votes from Toshi's tally as he got them automatically when I voted for somebody else.

I voted for Ishmeet but the meter ticked for Aneek. Can you please set it right or deduct four votes from Aneek's account. I shall be grateful if you do so and let us know how it can be set.

So you mean to say there is some defect in the blog's voting system itself. So we must register a complaint with google.

There is no defect in the poll meter. It is all deliberately done by Google and Blogspot as they are biased against innocent Ishmeet. When I vote for Sumitra it is OK, but when I vote for Ishmeet then it ticks for other contestants. This is height of racial behaviour on the part of Google and Blogspot. We must all stand up against this malaise and complain to the highest authorities in India as well as abroad.

Jokes apart, votes for Toshi were increasing automatically when u vote for any contestant. If you dont wanna believe it, its your wish.
I believe you as I have already stated that when I voted for Ishmeet on your blog the meter ticked for Aneek. But when I voted for Sumitra on this blog the meter ticked for Sumitra only. Something is suspicious when we vote for Ishmeet. No doubt- I believe you.

Although the premise of your question can be very contentious, I will try to answer your question objectively.
IMHO, Abhaas and Amanat were the two best singers from amongst all the singers, last year.
They were the best because both of them had immense range, used to sing effortlessly and sang songs in their own voice.
Amanat's 'Yeh honsla' and Abhas's 'Na to karwaan ki talash hai'showcase their singing talent. On the girls side, Abhilasha and Poonam would be my picks. Arshpreet was a truly phenomal voice as well but by the quality of voice and 'potential' versatility, Abhilasha gets the nod. Poonam did fit the soubriquet of 'pocket-size-powerhouse' really really well!
Toshi and Raja would be the ones to follow. Toshi was wayyy better than Raja in terms of range and on stage presence. Raja had a better voice quality, in my opinion.
Compare the song 'Teri Deewani' sung by both the singers and you will know what I mean.
Irfan and Musarrat would probably fit in the category of singers who were great but everyone knew that they would not win :)
Overall, I like SVOI better. It had better singers, Star's telecast is wayyy better than Zee and Gajendrra Singhh has been doing this for a long long time and knows what sells.
Do I even need to compare Shaan and Aditya? :)

To be honest Gajji has scored over ZeeTv on both the occassions. Voice of India was better compared to Saregama and Chotte Ustaad is better than Little Champs.
Gajji knows how to maintain the quality, though the excessive dramabazi and rona-dhona can be reduced a bit. It becomes irritating at times.
Coming to singers, I must say Amaanat stands out among all the singers in both the shows. Anybody having even little knowledge of music will say so. His voice quality was excellent and he used to get so much involved with the song that he used to sing.
Coming to Voice of India Ishmeet & Abhaas were the best. In girls Sumitra was the best.
Antar, I know Toshi is your favourite and I dont want to offend you, but i will only say his voice quality was not so good and he could sing only a particular sufiana type of songs. So i dont rate Toshi very highly.
Raja Hasan was quite better.

There is a sad news. Aneek Dhar met with an accident this Tuesday. His driver died on the spot. Aneek has also got severe head injuries. A former Saregama little champ was also injured who was with Aneek at that time. I am surprised that no newspaper or newschannel has reported this incident. Aditya Narayan informed about this incident in yesterday's Little Champs show.
Lets Pray for Aneek's speedy recovery.
Aneek Dhar was going somewhere to perform in some concert when this unfortunate accident took place.
Aneek & Sanchita injured in an accident:
Winner of Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge this year, Aneek Dhar and Sanchita Bhattacharya, winner of last year's Lil Champs, met with an accident early this morning at Kokrajhar near Goalpara in Guwahati while returning home after performing at a musical concert. Sanchita's father, Mr Druba Bhattacharya and one of the organisers of the concert were also in the luxury car Sanchita and Aneek were travelling in. While at Kokrajhar as the foggy morning made vision difficult, their car collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction. All the four have sustained injuries. They were rushed to a nearby clinic for first aid and later shifted to a hospital. The condition of Sanchita's father is said to be critical, he is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Guwahati. It has been learnt that he has received some stitches on his head. While Aneek was flown to the city after necessary treatment at the clinic and has been admitted at a city hospital, Sanchita is under treatment in Guwahati along with her father. Sanchita has received injuries on her head and eyes. Sanchita called up at her home this morning to inform about the accident. Her brother, Mr Akash Bhattacharya said Sanchita called up and said their father has received a head injury and that she and Aneek have also sustained head injuries. She also informed that her eyes have been hurt. The two, along with Sanchita's father, had gone for the musical concert in Guwahati which was held on Monday. Aneek had just returned from Kuwait on Sunday after performing and had left for Guwahati early on Monday. His mother, Mrs Rupa Dhar, said Aneek's condition is now stable

yes i will surely reply to your question.In my opinion,aneek,poonam,abhas n abhilasha r the best wid arshpreet close on der heels. d names u mentioned-- RAJA,TOSHI,MUSHARAF,MAULI N SUMITRA do not have dat gr8 voice quality which d above singers had + dey were not versatile. dey only stuck 2 1 genre of song-- MAULI n SUMITRA mostly sang item songs of course sumitra was more experimental but i think she's still raw. SUMEDHA also is much better den both of dem.
coming 2 RAJA,TOSHI,MUSHARAF etc. dey r not 'complete' singers dat is wot I feel.stuck 2 oonly 1 genre of song.I have not heard 2 much of Mush so can't comment. But ANEEK wa a true champ he has gr8 potential 2 suceed n eevn AMANt was very gud. dey cud sing all genres of songs.
as 4 POONAM n ABHILASH dey r so talented dat even pocket sized powerhouses is an understatenement. dose 2 can give established singers a run 4 der money. along wid ANVESHA of svoi,dey r a trio 2 watch out 4. Tho POONAM n ABHILASHA have very diff. voice qaulities, dey do not stick 2 any 1 genre.each n every song of ders is a revalation of der enermous talent. same goes 4 ABHAS.
